Jane’s biggest inspiration is her Grandmother, who would play piano and lead sing-alongs with her and the family while growing up. Jane grew up around pianos her whole life as her family business is piano moving, tuning and repair.
She started early music and dance classes at 3 and piano lessons officially at 5 as is standard in the Allison family. Throughout the years she picked up the clarinet, saxophone, oboe, percussion, guitar and most recently the stand-up bass. She has 4 years experience teaching piano and voice.
Jane is currently the accompanist for Miracle Apostolic Church. She also is the vocalist and pianist for the Dixie Beats. She occasionally plays clarinet with the German club band.
Jane’s long term goal is to enter into music therapy and is very interested in teaching students to use their music to process emotions in an environment that promotes a healthy love of performing and playing with others.
