The approach is based on well researched teaching of techniques.  These concepts require development in a logical method.  The exercises and pieces are designed to aid that development.  Our goal is to help candidates relate their use of the instrument in a wider sense and avoid the scenario of such disciplines being learned "just for the sake of an examination", without any notion of their practical application and consequently being forgotten almost instantly after the examination.
