Variety, the children’s charity, has raised more than $20 million in Manitoba to meet the needs of disabled and disadvantaged children. Established in 1978, their efforts enable children to participate more fully in life’s activities.

Our annual Musicthon for the Variety Club will be held in-store on Sunday, December 7th, from 11am to 4pm. All students can sign up in the waiting area upstairs. Please fill out all information and be sure to print clearly. The deadline for sign-up is Thursday, December 4th.

This year we will schedule the recital by age. From 11-12 pm, students up to 10 years old will be performing. After a short break, students from ages 11 to 15 will perform at 1-2pm. Students 16 years old and up, bands and teachers will be performing from 3-4pm. If you need to be scheduled during a different time, please let us know on the sign up sheet and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. All students wishing to perform must raise at least $10 in pledges. Remember, this is for charity. But if you go the extra mile, we will reward you! For students who pledge $50-$99, we will give you a coupon for 5% off store merchandise! $100-$149 will receive a 10%off coupon, $150-$199 receives a 15%off coupon, $200-$250 receives a 20%off coupon, $250 and up will receive a 25% off coupon.

wThe entry fee for all students and spectators will be one new Variety Gold Heart ($3)w

(These can be purchased at the front desk now or at the recital. But remember to wear it when arriving!)

But remember to wear it when arriving!)	As usual, our Musicthon will be holding a Silent Auction and 50/50 draw! We always have great prizes to offer, so bring some extra cash! Tickets are $1.00 each. Please write your name and phone number on each ticket. At the end of the show we will draw the winning tickets, so even if you don’t stay till the end of the show, we will call you and you can pick up your prize at a later time! We are looking for donations for the silent auction, so if you or someone you know can donate a gift it would be greatly appreciated! Please drop off any gifts at the store on or before December 6th. Students: If you are performing in the recital, please be there 10-15 minutes before the show starts, especially if your guitar needs tuning! If you need a tune-up, please go to the Amp Room (beside the front door). Please leave any cases in this room. The performers will be seated beside the stage until their performance time .If you are not performing at the recital, you can still come by to cheer on the performers and give your support for the Variety Club! This is a fun event! There’s no competition so no need to stress! Remember students, the audience doesn’t mind if you make a mistake on your performance. Just being there and supporting Variety will give you a feeling of pride and get you into the true Christmas Spirit! *The last day of lessons will be December 23rd.
